Meet Our Founder

Ms. Lisa Temple is the President and Founder of Polaris Future Shift, a company focused on providing specialized training, marketing, management, and support in education and workforce development. With over thirty years of experience leading various continuing education programs in an entrepreneurial setting, she understands the unique challenges that these sectors face, especially in a constantly evolving marketplace.

Driven by her passion for helping individuals improve their lives, Ms. Temple is dedicated to empowering aspiring entrepreneurs, businesses, and educators. She is a disruptor who challenges the status quo and strongly believes in utilizing interdisciplinary, multicultural teams to meet the ever-changing needs of society. Her philosophy emphasizes the importance of valuing people and aligning vision with purpose. By integrating branding and marketing with personal skills, she works towards achieving success for both individuals and businesses. In addition to her expertise in continuing education, personal branding, partnership development, and budgeting, she consistently strives to make a meaningful difference.

Ms. Temple has led initiatives to eliminate barriers to enrollment, redesigned programs to better support working adults, and sought external funding for individuals who could not afford tuition. Her efforts have significantly enhanced accessibility and inclusivity in education and workforce development.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Virginia State University and a Master of Science in Education, specializing in Higher Education Administration, from Old Dominion University. Additionally, she has earned certificates in Digital Marketing Strategies, Artificial Intelligence, and Brand Strategy from the Kellogg School of Management. Her previous roles include serving as the Education Division Director at the School of Education at Old Dominion University and as the Program Director for the Virginia Department of Education/Old Dominion University Career Switcher Program. Throughout her career, she has mentored and coached thousands of students, always prioritizing their needs.

Ms. Temple is actively involved in the American Marketing Association, the Downtown Norfolk Council, and the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce. She has participated in various committees, appeared on local television and radio, and presented at the American Association for Adults and Continuing Education.

She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and a lifetime member of the Digital Marketing Institute.
